Started as a gambling junket in 1979 for the Carson City Nugget Casino. In 1980, authority was granted to operate domestic and overseas charters and was upgraded to a supplemental operater. Because of financial problems, operations were suspended in 1981 but was restarted in 1994 when it was renamed Target Airlines dba Great American Airways and received authority to operate scheduled services. The operation increased with a combination of scheduled flights and charter flights. However, operations ceased on April 13, 1997 when its operating certificate was revoked for numerous violations.
